WAYNE — Maine author Melissa Coleman will speak at the Cary Memorial Library at 3 p.m. Sunday Sept. 23. Coleman is the author of "This Life is in Your Hands: One Dream, Sixty Acres and a Family's Heartbreak," a memoir of growing up in Maine's back-to-the-land movement in the 1960s.
Her book is an account of growing up with her siblings on a rugged homestead near the Scott and Helen Nearing farm.
Coleman's talk is part of the library's long-running series of Meet-A-Maine-Author events. The program is free; refreshments will be served. The library is at 17 Old Winthrop Road. For more information, call 685-3612.
