The Pleasant Note Coffeehouse will host an open mic/poetry slam at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12. Every month, an open mic is held on the second Friday at the First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant St. Above, Melissa Touissant pulls strings with her daughter and niece at a recent open mic.
