Sandy River Ramblers
On Friday, Nov. 16, the Sandy River Ramblers will give an encore performance at the Old Gym on Depot Street in Phillips. Making up the bluegrass band are Stan and Liz Keach of Rome, on guitar and upright bass; mandolinist Dan Simons of Mt. Vernon; and banjoist Bud Godsoe of Madrid. Joining them will be 16-year-old fiddler Silas Rogers, a junior at Mt. Blue High School, who plays with the Franklin County Fiddlers. The 7 p.m. concert will benefit the Phillips Area Community Center. Admission is $8 for adults. Refreshments will be sold by the Farmington Emblem Club.
