Children's singer-songwriter Rick Charette will perform at 5:15 p.m at the KidNight Celebration during L.L. Bean's New Year's Eve event in Freeport. A hot cocoa toast will follow at 6 p.m., with fireworks later to ring in the New Year. Free all-day festivities will begin at 11 a.m. with a show by magician Norman Ng Norman Ng. During his career spanning more than 17 years, Ng has performed at the New York Hilton Hotel, Magic Castle in Hollywood, Calif., and at colleges, fairs, festivals and theaters nationwide.
