Kate Barnes of Oakland is one of 14 artists with work displayed in three final "CSA: Community Supporting Arts" exhibitions in Belfast and Brunswick.
BRUNSWICK — A year ago, the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell partnered 14 artists with 13 CSA farms in Lisbon, Monmouth, Winthrop and other Central Maine communities. All through the 2012 growing season, participating artists visited farms and created art inspired by farmers’ lives, work, landscapes, challenges and ideals.
Their creations will be displayed in three final "CSA: Community Supporting Arts" exhibitions opening on Jan. 4 at the Maine Farmland Trust Gallery and UMaine's Hutchinson Center, both in Belfast; and Jan. 11 at Frontier Cafe & Cinema Gallery in Brunswick.
The art show openings in Belfast will both be from 5 to 8 p.m. Maine Farmland Trust Gallery is at 97 Main Street; the University of Maine's Hutchinson Center is at 80 Belmont Ave. Both shows are on view through Feb. 27.
In Brunswick, the exhibit opening will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Frontier in the Fort Andross Mill, 14 Maine St. This exhibition will be on view through Feb. 24.
