BRUNSWICK — The Theater Project's Professional Ensemble will present their mostly-annual "Winter Cabaret" from Jan. 25 through Feb. 10. "Winter Cabaret" is sketch comedy at its best – the funny, frantic, slightly bawdy sort you've come to love from The Theater Project. This year, the group, who have been working together for over a decade, have even bigger, better surprises in store. Think of a 1990s boy band, all grown up and aiming for one last reunion concert.  Can they overcome the past, and some surprising secrets, to be as funky-fresh as they once were?

 

"Imagine what our male ensemble looks like dressed like Justin Timberlake," offered Executive Director Wendy Poole.  "Now add choreography. It's pretty great. We've also been working on some multi-media material to add to this production that's turning out to be so much fun. These guys know how to improvise!"

 

Gloriously tasty desserts by Wild Oats Bakery complement the wild and weird wit onstage, and musical accents and interludes will be designed and performed by Jim Hall.
