JAY — An informational meeting on Health Reform in Maine will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the Jay-Niles Memorial Library.
The Jay Democratic Committee, Rep. Paul Gilbert, D-Jay, and Sen. John Patrick, D-Rumford, are sponsoring the meeting that will feature guest speaker Rep. Sharon Treat, D-Hallowell.
Topics include what the health exchange marketplaces to be established under the Affordable Care Act will mean for a family's ability to purchase affordable insurance; whether insurance regulatory changes enacted by the Legislature help or hinder affordable access; and whether the Legislature and governor will make sure consumers are at the forefront of their legislative health agenda this year.
The library is at 983 Main St.
