WELD — Nomination papers are available at the town office for selectman, road commissioner, Planning Board, town clerk and tax collector.
The papers are due back by Thursday, Jan. 19, Town Clerk Carol Cochran said.
The municipal election will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the town office. The annual town meeting will follow Saturday, March 3, at the town hall.
To be elected are:
* Selectman, assessor and overseer of the poor for three years. Bernard Vining holds the positions.
* Road commissioner for three years. Kelly Hutchinson has taken out nomination papers for re-election, Cochran said. He was appointed to the post.
* Planning Board member for five years. Mike Pratt is not seeking re-election, Cochran said.
* Town clerk and tax collector, both one-year terms. Cochran is seeking re-election. She has served more than 30 years in each position.
