JAY — Handguns, rifles, shotguns and muzzle-loaders were among the 24 guns stolen from a house on Walker Hill Road, police said.
The guns were valued at $10,000.
A laptop and a chain saw also were taken, Detective Richard Caton IV said.
The thief or thieves forced their way into the house off Route 17 in the north part of town, sometime between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, Caton said. He did not know whether ammunition was taken.
Police have some leads, he said. Anyone with information can call the Jay Police Department at 897-6766.
