FARMINGTON — A New Sharon man was injured early Monday when he hit a tree with his car and rolled it over after swerving to avoid hitting a deer on Weeks Mill Road, Farmington police Detective Marc Bowering said.
Farmington Fire Rescue responders had to extricate Joshua Settle, 39, from a 1999 Infiniti that landed on its roof, he said.
Settle told police he was heading home at about 1:45 a.m. when the accident happened.
He complained of pain and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington where he was treated and released, Bowering said.
Assisting Bowering at the scene were firefighters, a NorthStar Emergency Medical Service ambulance crew, Sgt. Edward Hastings IV and Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy Nicholas Zecher.
“The accident is still under investigation,” Bowering said.
