Conservation crew at state park needs volunteers to help

WELD — A Maine Conservation Corps field team is seeking volunteers to work with them at Mt. Blue State Park in October and November.

The crew will be working on building water bars, repairing old water bars, installing stone steps and brush work. All safety equipment and tools are provided by the corps.

Available volunteer dates are Friday, Oct. 19, to Monday, Oct. 22, and Thursday, Nov. 1, to Wednesday, Nov. 7. People can volunteer for a couple of hours or a couple of days.
