Members of the Mt. Blue High School football team were described as great leaders, dedicated, good sports and gracious during a reception to honor the varsity players for winning the Class B State Championship. RSU 9 school directors held the brief ceremony during the Board of Directors meeting. Zak Kendall, one of five captains, thanked the board and the community on behalf of the team for all of the support they received. "We owe a lot of our success to you guys," Kendall said. Ten players made all conference. Head Coach Gary Parlin was named Coach of the Year, Bradley Jackson, Defensive Player of the Year and Jordan Whitney, Offensive Player of the Year.
