Owners of seven properties have until April 16 to avoid foreclosure

LIVERMORE — Seven properties were foreclosed on Thursday with a total of $3,278.97 owed from 2011.

Under the town's foreclosure procedure, the property owners have 30 days to pay all outstanding taxes, interest and fees, Kurt Schaub, town administrative assistant, said Friday.

In late February, there were 25 properties in danger of being foreclosed on with a total of $24,000 in unpaid back taxes.

The deadline for property owners to redeem their properties is at the close of business on Tuesday, April 16. The 30-day deadline falls on a Saturday, April 13. The following Monday, April 15, is Patriot's Day, which is a holiday, Schaub said.
