LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Holy Cross Church, Prince of Peace Parish, for Donald R. Rousseau, with the Rev. Nathan March officiating. Scripture reading was given by Susan Upshur. The Prayer of The Faithful was done by Thomas Upshur. Offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Sister Mary May and Doris Bourett. The American flag was carried in by one of Donald's sons, Robert, currently serving in the U.S. Army, and the eulogy was given by his other son, Billy, a Lewiston police officer. The Lewiston Police Department provided escort to the church. Urn bearers were Billy and Robert Rousseau, Eric Kwasniewski and Nicholas Theriault, Donald's son-in-law. Honorary urn bearer was Erin Theriault, Donald's daughter. Committal services will be held in April at the Maine Veteran's Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Rd. in Augusta, with full military honors, where the U.S. flag will be presented to Donald's wife, Pamela Rousseau.
