RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Eleanor M. Austin Saturday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church with the Rev. Phil Tracy as celebrant. Organist was Mark Belanger and altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Music selections were "Hosea," "Ave Maria," "Fly Like a Bird" and "King of Love-My Shepherd Is." Readings were given by Arita Zitoli. The eulogy was given by her son, James Austin. Gift presenters were Gary and Maureen Wing. The honor guard was from Le Paresseux Snowshoe Club. Interment in the spring will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Bearers were James Austin, Gary Wing, Stephen Wing, John White, Colin MacDonald and Gage Welch. A reception followed in the parish hall of the church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
