RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of Anthony “Tony” Fergola was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Robert Vaillancourt was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the alter server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were "Be Not Afraid," "Amazing Grace," "Prayer of St. Francis" and "Fly Like A Bird." The Old Testament was proclaimed by Chad Wallace. The New Testament was proclaimed by Keri Tucker. Prayer of the faithful was offered by Keri Tucker and Chad Wallace. Offertory gifts were presented by Casey Pearson and Lindsey Wallace. Personal reflections were shared by John Wallace. Military honors were rendered by the Maine Funeral Honor Guard from Augusta. Pallbearers were Corey Farrell, Chad Wallace, Aaron Fergola, Craig Fergola, Brady Fergola, Zach Fergola and Travis Fergola. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery at a later date. A reception followed at 49 Franklin. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
