RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Evelyn Gaul of Rumford was celebrated Thursday at the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church with Fr. Robert Vaillancourt as the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections were "Be Not Afraid," "On Eagle’s Wings," "Take My Hand Precious Lord" and "How Great Thou Art." Readings were given by Nancy Mercier, niece and Mary Gaul, sister-in-law. Prayer of the faithful was given by Becky Collins, niece. Words of remembrance were given by her daughters, Kathy Richard, Maureen Boudreau, Colleen Gaul and Susan Manning. Gift presenters were grandsons, Heath McKenna and Steve Richard. Committal services at St. John Cemetery were conducted by Fr. Vaillancourt. A reception was served by the Daughters of Isabella was held in the church hall after the funeral. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
