RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Alfred Edward McKenna Jr. of Rumford was celebrated Monday at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church with Fr. Robert Vaillancourt as the celebrant. Nick Puiia was the altar assistant and Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections were "Be No Afraid," "Fly Like A Bird," "How Great Thou Art" and "On Eagle’s Wings." Ellen Thorne and Kristen Blais proclaimed the readings. Bobbie McKenna recited the prayer of the faithful. Presenting gifts to the altar were Brandon and Alex Arsenault. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
