RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Louise Viger Blais of Rumford was celebrated on Saturday at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius–St. John Church with Fr. Bob Vaillancourt as the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar assistant and Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections were "Amazing Grace," "Ave Maria," "Hosea" and "On Eagle’s Wings." The readings were proclaimed by her sister, Sandra Hebert and her nephew, David Howitt. Prayers of the faithful were recited by her grandson, Cam Welch. Words of remembrance were given by her niece, Heather Viger and her sister, Marlene Viger. A reception was held in the church hall after the funeral. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
