When Barack Obama was running for president, he said he would not touch Social Security or Medicare.
Now, he says we won't get any more raises. But you can bet that Medicare costs will keep going up, causing me to lose some of my original paycheck. I just got about a $26 a month raise, but I only get about $10 of it.
I have a question for all those politicians: Are they going to give up their raises? I just bet they won't. They will get a $50,000-a-year raise because they have to be paid big money to figure out how to make trouble for the little guy.
I love this country, but I don't care very much for the way the politicians run it.

My friends who are still paying the freight to private insurance companies are getting held up!!
Better count your blessings while you can - and any Rep or Senator getting a $50,000 per year raise is strictly in your imagination.....

just what our Reps & Senators are doing to us, with the help of Obama, when they are getting in excess of $170,000 a year plus all the perks. Are you kidding us ? Not to mention all the "ear marks" attached to the needy storm victims bill. We have a spending problem !!
