Gov. Paul LePage's ill-considered comment about middle managers in state government is another example of how he is tarnishing the image of his office and of the state. He seems to forget that he is no longer a private citizen; that when he speaks, he is representing the people of Maine.
Even more disappointing is that his behavior is a distraction from the real issue of how we work together to make Maine economically viable today and in the future.

Christine, Perhaps you forgot
Christine,
Perhaps you forgot that the Governor does represent and speak for the people of Maine by the fact he was elected Governor.
It is a bit ironic that those who don’t share the Governors vision squawk about needing to “working together.”
If enough people have the same opinion as you, then vote the Governor out of office next election. Until then, he represents the people.

...that's where you don't understand. This governor does not represent the people. He represents himself as the ultimate power in the state. So either do it his way or get out of the way because you're a traitor to his cause.
