T. Fallon: A natural wonder

Right now there is no greater natural phenomenon in Maine than the Pennacook Falls in Rumford. This great water fall, which has the longest drop east of the great Niagara Falls, is at its peak because of the recent heavy rains.

No waterfall in the state or in the Eastern United States can compare to the Pennacook Falls on the Androscoggin River in Rumford.

I have never, in 61 years of viewing the falls, seen it running so high. It is truly an unbelievable natural phenomenon for all to wonder at right here in the state of Maine.

It is truly awesome!

Tom Fallon, I agree, there is nothing quite as awesome as Pennacook Falls when it is running high. Sorry there was no photo to go with your letter!

Also awesome is the 39MW of constant, predictable, reliable electricity flowing from a renewable energy source.
