C. Pressey: Ride with traffic

On June 16, the Sun Journal printed an editorial about horses and cars safely sharing Maine roads. I would go further to remind all horsemen out there to ride with traffic.

Recently, my daughter came upon two young riders in the Norway area riding horses facing traffic. That is wrong and they were breaking current laws. There was a logging truck coming around a corner to find two riders riding on the wrong side.

Riders must stay with the flow of traffic, for their safety and for the safety of all traffic. Period.
