It really is too bad that Lewiston's Mayor Bob Macdonald cannot seem to speak in public or to the media and convey a positive spirit for our community.
This should be of no surprise to anyone. Last fall during his campaign, he made his opinions very clear. Regardless, he was elected into office with only 2,543 votes.
Now, the people who are unhappy with his statements and opinions should not only be speaking with him but all 2,543 Lewiston residents who voted him into office. How could they not see all of this coming?
This negativity is stalling the city's forward progress. Lewiston is a great city with a bright future. I do see Mayor Macdonald slowly turning around and seeing that.
My hope is that his supporters will also begin to see Lewiston in a better light.
