I offer kudos to Lewiston Mayor Bob Macdonald. It is about time people take back some of their freedoms, such as freedom of speech.
He said nothing wrong, only what many people think but are too afraid to say.
On days that I have to be in Lewiston, with its so-called diversity, I notice something missing, a symbol that the proud Somali community should display — the flag of the country that gave them the freedom to demand that apology from the mayor.
Every ethnic group has served this great nation, one way or another.
The mayor should stick to his words. I stand with him.
