Expect major delays on I-95 as crash closes Turnpike in Gray

GRAY, Maine — The Turnpike is reduced to one lane between the Falmouth and Gray exits Monday afternoon as the crews work to remove a crash between a car and a tractor trailer near exit 63. 

At of 4:45 p.m., Maine State Police closed the Turnpike for the wreckage to be removed. They announced the road was reopened to one lane at 5 p.m.

Drivers headed passing through Gray on I-95 should expect major delays.

A vehicle overturned in the roadway between the service plaza in Gray and the Gray exit, according to an advisory issued at 3:50 p.m. from the Maine Turnpike Authority.

Witnesses say that the tractor trailer was jack-knifed just south of the Gray exit.
