Democrat Christine Powers of Naples defeated Republican Laurie Mondville of Casco, 2,477 to 2,371, for House District 101 on Tuesdaty.
Both candidates sought to replace outgoing Rep. Richard Cebra, R-Naples.

Powers, who is director of the Naples Public Library and serves on the Board of Selectmen, campaigned on a platform of political experience and a pledge to work on infrastructure improvements, a stronger digital infrastructure with broadband access and attracting more business to Maine.
Powers was a Clean Election candidate; Mondville did not use Clean Election funds.
