Teams from Mount Blue High School in Farmington, Camden Hills High School, Portland High School, Oxford Hills and Leavitt raced for fun during the 5K race that required a switch from classic skis to skate skis at the halfway mark.
"The main reason is to have fun, just post-season craziness," said Dustin Williamson, the Nordic coach at Leavitt and a 1997 graduate of Edward Little High School.
