H.S. Skiing: Mt. Abram, Oxford Hills bring home conference gold

Ski teams in the KVAC and MVC shared the wealth Tuesday at their conference championships at Farmington's Titcomb Mountain on Tuesday.

The Oxford Hills girls and Maranacook boys won the overall KVAC championships. Mt. Abram won the boys and girls overall team titles in the MVC.

In the KVAC, the Edward Little girls and Maranacook boys won the Alpine gold.

Individually, Edward Little's Allarie Lever followed last week's giant slalom title with gold in the girls' slalom. Alec Daigle of Maranacook took the boys' slalom race.

The Mt. Blue boys and Leavitt girls won the Nordic titles easily. Dustin Ramsay of Hampden and Maranacook's Caroline Colin won the boys' and girls' classical races, respectively.

In the MVC, the Mt. Abram girls and Winthrop boys won the Nordic titles. Izzy Gerencer of St. Dom's won the girls' classical race while Thomas Faraday of Mt. Abram took first in the boys' classical.

The Spruce Mountain boys and Mountain Valley girls won the Alpine championships. Sarah Klein of Mountain Valley and Steven Sylvester won the girls' and boys' slalom races, respectively.

Monmouth's Becki Bryant and Mountain Valley's Connor Woods won MVC skimeister championships.
