A TD Bank survey of 400 small business owners from Maine to Florida found that 60 peercent say their levels of stress are increasing.
Most respondents — 33 percent — attributed the jump to challenges of managing finances. Managing employees ranked as the top cause for 20 percent of those respondents reporting higher stress levels and 19 percent said sales and marketing were their top stressors.
In a press release, the bank reports that it conducted the survey with businesses owners in the bank's footprint to better understand stressors in business and banking for small businesses.
With respect to banking services, 28 percent reported that a lack of customer support was the biggest problem with their bank and 20 percent said limited banking locations was the largest problem.
