BANGOR (AP) — A Hermon woman has been sentenced to a year and a half in jail for stealing more than $200,000 from the Bangor car dealership where she worked.
Misty Beylerian was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to theft.
Authorities said the 35-year-old Beylerian was an office clerk at Quirk Auto Group who had access to the deposits and adjusted them to take cash for herself.
WABI-TV reported that she spent the money on personal expenses, but prosecutors say there is no evidence she used the money for gambling or drugs.
She admitted she stole $202,000 over a two-year-period, ending last November.

Restitution?
If this lady is not required to make restitution, she made out like a bandit! 18 months in prison means she will have earned (stole) over $11,200.00 a month. I guess crime DOES pay.

With good behavior, probably less than a year !! And does it matter what the money went to ?? For the gambling and drugs issue to even come up is totally ridiculous !!
