Fire kills 1 in coastal Maine town

BRISTOL (AP) — The Maine fire marshal's office is investigating a fire in which a woman was killed and a man was injured.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the fire broke out in the attached garage of a house at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, and a couple in their 60s or 70s was found.

McCausland says the woman's body was found in the garage. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He says fire investigators believe the victim may be the man's wife. Their names were not disclosed and the man's condition was not immediately available.

The fire was confined to the garage, although there was minor damage to the house.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Fire in Garage

A fire broke out at the same garage and house, in the garage, in March 2011. Yesterday's fire, which started in the garage, damaged the new garage and new home.
I would say they have garage problems.
