TURNER — Douglas and Heidi Conn of Turner are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Gretchen P. Conn of Reno, Nev., to Jeremy D. Saar of Reno, Nev., son of David and Anna Saar of Turner.

Miss Conn is the granddaughter of the late Andrew and Rosamond Conn of Dartmouth, Mass., and the late Lucius and Joellen Donkle of Michigan City, Ind. She is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School and University of Nevada at Reno. Currently, she is a social worker at Renown Medical Center in Reno. This fall she will be studying at the University of Nevada in Reno and pursuing a master's degree in social work.

Mr. Saar is the grandson of Frank and Ida Bruno of Hebron and Ida Hutchinson of Freeport, Ill., and the late George Saar of Freeport, Ill. He is a graduate of Leavitt Area High School and Maine Maritime Academy. He is an operations and maintenance manager at the Barrick Western 102 Power Plant in McCarran, Nev.

A July wedding is planned at the Greenwood Mountain Inn in Hebron.
