MINOT — Robert and Cheryl Norcross of Minot were honored on May 19 on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The surprise party was hosted by their sons, Steven and Kevin, with Steve's wife, Donna, and Kevin's wife, Nancy.
In attendance were more than 50 family members and friends including the couple's grandchildren, Bo Norcross, Kailey Norcross and Dawson Norcross, and their wedding attendants, Richard Norcross and Mary Ann Wilkinson Norcross.
When the couple arrived, they were presented with an orchid corsage for her and an orchid boutonniere for him. A buffet luncheon was served and it featured a beautiful white and gold cake, which was made by Linda Gelinas. The couple received many gift cards along with cash money, which will be used for their upcoming cruise to Alaska.
Robert and Cheryl Norcross were married on June 23, 1962, at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn. Mrs. Norcross retired in 2008 from Cross Insurance in Lewiston after 19 years as a personal lines agent/commercial lines assistant. Mr. Norcross also retired in 2008 from Pepperidge Farm as a salesman/distributor. Previously he worked for Colonial Ice Cream for 27 years as a salesman/supervisor.
