Ariel and Marc
AUBURN — The wedding of Ariel Leah Epstein and Marc Eliot Pollack was held at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 at Temple Shalom in Auburn. Rabbi Hillel Katzir officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Pollack is the daughter of Elliott and Ellen Epstein of Auburn. Mr. Pollack is the son of Dr. Ronald and Deborah Pollack of Ventura, Calif.
The bride wore an ivory chiffon gown and carried a bouquet of ivory and lavender flowers.
Angelia Abbott, college roommate of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Desiree Von Klis, Melissa Ford, Amanda McCadden, Jessica Altman-Pollack and Eleanor Greenman. Flower girl was Lexie Epstein, cousin of the bride.
Aaron Pollack, twin brother of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Ren Horng Wang, best friend of the bride, Matthew Deschaine, brother of the bride, Sean Behardwaj, high school friend of the bridegroom, and Loretta Altman-Pollack, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Shaya Altman Pollack, nephew of the bridegroom, and Bruno Epstein, cousin of the bride, were ring bearers.
A reception folowed at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to San Diego, Calif. They are residing in Davis, Calif.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor's degree in music. She received a master's degree in child life in 2012 from the University of La Verne. She is currently employed as a preschool/childcare teacher in Davis, Calif., and is working/volunteering with the University of California Davis M.I.N.D. Research Institute. She is currently a child life specialist and works with hospitalized children and families.
The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Foothill High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of California in Davis with a bachelor's degree in microbiology. He received his master's degree in 2011 from K.E.C.K. Graduate Institute. He is currently employed as a PhD student at the University of California in Davis, going for a doctorate in microbiology.
