FARMINGTON — Charles William Jepson, 87, of Phillips, died Jan. 29, at Edgewood Rehab and Living Center, where he had been a patient since last June.
He was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Temple, the son of William and Geneva Jepson. He was educated in the schools of Carthage and Phillips. He served in the Navy during World War II.
He married Beatrice Haley Oct. 1, 1949, and she died May 25, 2005. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Mexico and the American Legion Prescott-Fairbanks Post 64. He enjoyed gardening, picking berries, birdwatching and hunting.
He is survived by two daughters, Rosalie Lavoie and husband, Andre, of Nashua, N.H., and Lorna Storer and companion, Matthew Haggan, of Phillips; one grandson, Jeremy Storer of Phillips; one granddaughter, Heather Storer of Lewiston; one great-grandson, Ace Roy of Lewiston; two brothers, Harlan Jepson of Wilton and Emerson Jepson of Mexico.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Luke Lavoie.
