AUBURN — Amanda M. Purington, 33, of West Paris went to be with her Lord after a strong fight with cancer on Feb. 3, with her loving family and friends by her side.

She was born Oct. 2, 1978. in Otisfield and lived all her life in the Oxford Hills Area.
She attended Oxford Hills High School, and kept in close contact with many of her friends throughout the years.
Amanda was a loving and devoted mother and was an amazing daughter and sister.
She is survived by her children, Brandon R. Johnston and Patricia J. Johnston; her parents, Gregory P. Purington of Harrison and Doris S. Purington of Winthrop, Mass.; sisters, Erin L. Purington of Biddeford and Heather E. Cunningham of Winthrop, Mass.; her partner, Alan Heath of West Paris; her grandmothers, June Bishop of Otisfield and Esther Cooper of Matamoras, Pa.
