SOUTH PARIS — Sharlene (Cummings) Brown, 66, of Norway, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, at Market Square Health Care Center, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Norway, July 28, 1945, to Charlie and Velma (Hobson) Cummings. She married Stephen S. Brown on Sept. 17, 1966.

Throughout Sharlene’s working career, she worked for Sanborns Express, Casco Bank, Oxford County Savings and Loan, CN Brown and most recent, she was an office manager for Mainely Properties since 1997.

Sharlene was a member of the Norway Firemen’s Relief Association since 1967, past president of Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a member of Western Maine Board of Realtors and National Realtors Association.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons watching them playing sports and cheering them on.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen; two sons, Shawn Brown and wife, Denise, of South Paris and Scott Brown and companion, Denise, of South Paris; grandchildren, Joshua Brown and Ethan Brown of South Paris; two brothers, Rodney Cummings of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bernal Cummings and wife, Marion, of West Paris; and brother-in-law, Bruce Brown and wife, Dorothy, of Oklahoma City.

The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice, aide, Wendy and RN’s Joleen and Tovah for their loving care during Sharlene’s illness.
