DURHAM — Gonzague “Brud” Desrosiers, 75, passed away Friday morning, with his wife by his side.
He was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Pejepscot, a son of Gerard and Ruth Ordway Desrosiers. Brud grew up in the Brunswick area and attended Brunswick schools. He was also a longtime employee with Bath Iron Works as a lead man after his discharge from the Marine Corps.
Brud was a member of the Slovak Club for over 50 years. He also found much enjoyment in working on his camp at The Forks, reading and riding roller coasters. He also loved spending time at the lake to relax.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Norma of Florida; three children, Jeffrey Desrosiers and his companion, Margaret Murphy, of Durham, Julie Harvie of Jewett City, Conn., and Jon Desrosiers of Lisbon Falls. He also leaves behind four brothers, Eugene of Connecticut, Jerome of Bangor, Robert of Florida and Roger of Durham; and one sister, Shirley Moore of Virginia; as well as seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Norman and Betty Lou McCollugh; and a son, James.
