NAPLES, Fla. — Delmont S. Green, Sr., 79, of Naples, Fla., passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2012 at Avow Hospice.
He was born in Lewiston, March 15, 1933, to Sherwood and Laura Green.
He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1951. Delmont resided in Lewiston prior to relocating to Naples, Fla., following his retirement from Fox and Ginn Trucking.
A veteran of the Army, Delmont served his country for four years, prior to marrying his former wife, Grace Leblond, in 1956.
Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting at the Green Grass Lodge in East Andover. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, David M. Green of Sabattus and Palm Bay, Fla.; a son, Delmont Green Jr.; daughters, Gail Everhart, Susan Given, Julie and Judie Green; grandchildren, Michelle O'Bryon, Chad Green, Wendi Potter, Brett Everhart and Christopher DeMaris; and great-grandchildren, Jessica O'Bryon, Owen DeMaris and Nathan Potter.
Delmont was predeceased by parents, Sherwood and Laura Green; a brother, Kenny Green; sister, Shirley Green Elliott; and a son, Richard Green.
