LEWISTON — Francena L. Seger, 88, of Lewiston passed away Monday, Oct. 29, at d’Youville Pavilion with her family by her side.
She was born in Norway, Feb. 21, 1924, the daughter of the late Milton and Hazel (Pratt) Johnson.
Francena was raised and attended schools in Norway and on May 20, 1941, she married Harold Seger, who predeceased her in 1996.
She worked at the former Pineland Hospital in the housekeeping department.
Francena enjoyed knitting, crochet and most of all traveling with her husband, Harold across the country visiting many states.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Seger and his wife, Marcia, with whom she lived with for the past 14 years, of Lewiston and Edward Seger and his wife, Kathleen, of Turner; a brother, Richard Johnson and his wife, Natlie, of Oxford; a sister, Marylynn Gagnon of New Gloucester; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Robert Seger in 2009; a daughter, Lois Desrochers this year; and two sisters, Thelma and Merleen.
