Yvan R. Saucier

LEWISTON — Yvan R. Saucier, 83, of 326 North River Road, Auburn, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in New Brunswick, Canada, Feb. 16, 1929, the son of William and Leane Marneault Saucier.

On Oct. 11, 1959, he married the former Kathleen M. Daigle in Canada. They made their home in Auburn, and he worked for many years for Snow’s Tire Co., later retiring from Stratham Tire.

Always very good with his hands, Yvan enjoyed woodworking and doing craft shows with his wife. A member of St. Philip’s Church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, he also was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus, Council 106, and belonged to the Jacques Cartier Club.

Besides his loving wife of Auburn; he is survived by two sons, Lawrence and wife, Lisa, of Monmouth and Roger of Auburn; four grandchildren, Chantel and husband, Zachary Pettengill, Danielle Saucier, Cameron Saucier and Andrew Saucier; and two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Sawyer Pettengill.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother; five sisters; and two great-grandchildren.
