ROXBURY — Mrs. Shelly M. Armstrong, 52, died peacefully at her home Thursday in Roxbury after a strong battle of pancreatic cancer. Her will to fight, her faith in this life, and the support of her family and friends allowed her to give us some amazing lasting memories.
Born May 31, 1960, in Rumford, she was a daughter of Ronald and Karen (Bartlett) Porter. She was a graduate of Rumford High School and worked as customer service rep for Aqua Cal in Florida.
Shelly enjoyed the beach, sun, crocheting, scrapbooking, fishing, kayaking, Sunday football, spending time with her family and spoiling her dog “Bailey.”
She was married Nov. 11, 1994, in Bethel to Edward Armstrong, who survives, of Roxbury. Other survivors include two daughters, Jami Blouin of Nashua, N.H., and Mindy Jo Childs of Jay; four grandchildren, Peyton and Falynn Knight, Joshua Phillips, and Taylor Nault; her father, Ronald Porter of Windham; her mother, Karen Porter of Rumford; a sister; Rhonda Sinclair and husband, Bill, of Mexico; and a brother, Doug Porter of Auburn.
Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book and share memories with the family at www.meaderandson.com.
