WEST POLAND — Robert J. Bernard, “Santa Bob,” ”Doc,” 59, of West Poland, died Nov. 10, at his home.
He was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Lewiston, the son of Oliver and Loretta Leavitt Bernard. He served in the Army and then worked in saw mills as a lumber grader. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved his grandchildren and loved being the local Santa during the holiday season.
He is survived by his parents of Poland; son, John Bernard and wife, Tammi, of Mexico; daughter, Heather Conley and husband, Adam, of Mexico; five grandchildren, Lacresha Howard, Nickolas Harnden, Hunter Bernard, Kearra Howard and Nichole Bernard; aunts, Laurel Martin and Mary Cummings; and several cousins.
