Janice M. Plante

FARMINGTON — Janice M. Plante, 65, of Jay, died early evening on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 6, 1947, in Jay, a daughter of Arthur J. and Laura E. (Marchetti) Moreau. Janice attended Jay and Livermore Falls schools, graduating from Jay High School.

Janice was married to Roger Plante at St. Rose of Lima in Jay. They made their home in Jay, as she worked for a short time at G.H. Bass in Wilton. Later in life, she served as a loving caregiver to her parents, in-laws and husband, Roger.

Janice enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting, volunteering at Sandy River Nursing Home, playing beano of late and when her health allowed working on outside chores around her home. She also enjoyed time spent with a special aunt, Clemance Moreau and cousins, Maurice and Wendy Moreau.

She is survived by her siblings, David Moreau and his girlfriend, Phyllis, of Waterville, Steve Moreau and his wife, Jacelyn, of Lewiston, Joan Nichols and her husband, Phil, of Jay and Robert Moreau and his wife, Kim, of East Livermore; very dear friend and caregiver, Tony Wilder and his fiancee, Angela Harkins of Jay; a special cat, Bideau; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Roger Jan. 3, 2010.
