Wanda Estelle (Ivers) Jacques-Gill

DURHAM, Conn. — Wanda Estelle (Ivers) Jacques-Gill, 61, of Durham passed away  Nov. 14 due to a tragic accident.

She was born in Farmington on May 29, 1951, daughter of Edna Ivers (Hardy) and the late Walter Ivers. She was the eldest of nine children.

She worked at Connecticut Medicine and the Connecticut Medical Society Journal as the managing editor and staff designer.

Wanda was also a volunteer for the Durham Animal Response Team and Emergency Management Department. Wanda will be greatly missed by both family and community.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Gill; her children, Benjamin Jacques, Winona McMann, and her son, Joshua; as well as her (Morgan) horses; her siblings, Rowena Ivers-Stough, Bernie Ivers, Sheila Neilson, Dana Ivers, Laura Ivers, Walter Ivers, Randy Ivers and Brad Ivers; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
