AUBURN — Joshua Whittemore, 34, a resident of Jay, passed away peacefully, Monday, Nov. 26, at Hospice House of Androscoggin, with his loving wife at his side, following complications from a stroke.
He was born July 25, 1978, in Farmington, the son of Robert and Barbara (Gardiner) Whittemore. Josh attended school in Jay. He worked as a self-employed carpenter. On March 7, 2011, he married Alicia Belanger and they made their home and were raising their family in Jay.
He was member of the Sons of AmVets in Jay, Metal Detecting Maine and Hillside Sports Club in Jay. Josh enjoyed bottle digging, antiquing, picking fiddleheads, mudding, four-wheeling, carpentry, woodworking, the ocean, camping at Hermit’s Island and especially the time spent with his wife and children.
He is survived by his wife and children, Alicia Whittemore, Jeremy, Wilfred and Joshlyn of Jay; his parents, Robert and Barbara Whittemore of Jay; brothers, Lucas Whittemore and his wife, Savannah, of Jay, Lawrence Whittemore and his wife, Michelle, of Bangor and Michael Whittemore, also of Bangor; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Beaulieu; brothers-in-law, Brandon Belanger and Zackery and Dylan Beaulieu, all of Livermore Falls; and his best friend, Ben Welch, of Dixfield.
