Hazel V. Kennedy

LIVERMORE — Hazel Virginia Kennedy, 72, a resident of Fish Meadow Road, Livermore, passed away peacefully, Monday, Dec. 3, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Carthage, N.Y., the daughter of Harold and Geneva Mae (Holmes) Barlow. She attended school in New York. On June 21, 1960, in Portland, she married her husband of 52 years, Charles McBrady Kennedy.

She enjoyed horse racing and was a member of the United States Trotter Association. Hazel loved shopping, hopping in the car and going for rides and holidays, especially Christmas. Her family was her world, loving and adoring her husband and children. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, when attending their events she just beamed watching them learn and grow, she was so proud of each and every one of them.

Hazel was an amazing woman, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was someone with true family values and knew that loving and caring for her family was the most rewarding life she ever could have had. She will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Kennedy of Livermore; her children, Michael Kennedy and his wife, Evelyn, of Livermore Falls, Susan Langlin and husband, Bernie, of Livermore, Charles Kennedy Jr. of Rumford and Renda Libby of Livermore; 10 grandchildren, Jade and Jeremiah Kennedy, Steven and Laura Langlin, Kyle and Shanae Kennedy, Matt Kennedy and his wife, Brandi, Jennifer Talbot and her husband, Chris, Brad Timberlake and fiancee, Amy Theriault and Matt White; and great-granddaughter, Sage Kennedy; her brother, Harold Barlow and his wife, Gloria, of Carthage, N.Y.; and her sisters, Lisa Taylor and her husband, Larry, of Waterville, Lillian “Lil” Manuel of Biddeford and Debbie Dupuis of Old Orchard.

She was predeceased by their infant daughter, Karen Kennedy; and her son-in-law, Alan Libby.
