AUBURN — Irene Alma Cote, 85, formerly of Sabattus and Watertown, Conn., died Thursday, Dec. 13, at Bolster Heights Nursing Home.
She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 11, 1927, the daughter of Emmanuel J. and Malvina Lizotte Cote. Educated in Lewiston schools, she married Raymond E. Cote and they made their home in Watertown, Conn.
For many years, she and her husband owned and operated Ray’s Lunch Basket Restaurant in Watertown. Mr. Cote passed away Dec. 17, 1974. Survivors include three sons, Roger P. Cote and wife, Shirley, of Oakville, Conn., Norman J. Cote of Venice, Fla., and Roger E. Cote of Minot; two daughters, Linda Cote of Connecticut, and Betty Ann Hershey of Lisbon; six sisters; five brothers; three grandchildren, Keith Bradbury, Tracy Bradbury and Joseph Cote; 12 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, George Small of Auburn.
The family thanks the staffs of CMMC and Bolster Heights for the loving care they gave Irene during her final months.
