LEWISTON —Joseph A. Boucher, 81, a resident of Russell Street, Lewiston, died unexpectedly Friday evening at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston, Sept. 13, 1931, the son of Willie and Yvonne (Camire) Boucher.
Joseph was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and married the love of his life, the former Rita Maillet, in Denver, Colo. on July 4, 1952.
Following the war, Joseph became a baker with Sam’s Bakery in Lewiston for many years, retiring 19 years ago. He then worked part-time as a courier until his illness. His family meant the world to him and he will be sadly missed by them all.
Survivors include his wife, Rita of Lewiston; two sons, Richard “Butch” Boucher and wife, Gail of Lewiston, Gary Boucher and wife, Tina of Turner; daughter-in-law, Dianne Boucher of Lewiston; two sisters, Therese Morin and husband, Charlie, Liette Berube and husband, Gerald, all from Lewiston; six grandchildren, Luke and his companion, Jen, Brooks, Kaley, Andrea, Ryan and Kasey Boucher; one great-granddaughter, McKenzie Boucher; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents; he was predeceased by his son, Donald Boucher, on Nov. 21; and also two brothers, Roger and Normand Boucher.
